Short Term Signs (Less Than 2 Year Life)
  Banners
When hanging your banner, use as many of the grommets that you can. Your banner will last longer and look better if you don't let it droop in the middle. On the other hand, it can not withstand being pulled excessively tight. During severe weather, take down your banner. Most banners are not made to withstand high winds.
Storing your banner properly will extend its life. Don't fold your banner. Roll it with the letters facing out. Store it standing on end. An occasional wash with a mild soap and water will do wonders to extend their life.

  Corrugated Plastic Signs (Plastic Cardboard)
About 1 - 2 years of outdoor life is what you can expect from these signs. Of course, if you take them in and out of the weather, you can extend their life. An occasional wash with a mild soap and water will do wonders to extend their life.

  Magnetic Signs
First off, Make sure your have something metal to put it on. A lot of vehicles these days are not made of metal. If you're unsure if a magnetic sign will work on your vehicle, drop by and let the experts answer that question for you.

  Applying Your Magnet

Apply magnet to a smooth, flat or slightly curved metal surface.
Before applying your magnet, clean both the surface the magnet will be applied to and the magnetic side (brown side) of the magnet.
Make sure that both surfaces are dry.
The magnet should be at 60°F or above before application.
Start by applying one side then allowing the remaining magnet to lay evenly across surface. Do not leave air pockets or tunneling in magnet.
If your magnet is not straight, Remove the magnet and start again. Do Not try to slide or pull the magnet into place. This may damage the surface.
If you wax your vehicle, allow 2 days after waxing to allow the wax to cure.

  Storing Your Magnet

Store your magnet rolled, standing on end or flat in a clean, dry place.
Roll with the printed or vinyl side out.
If you have a flat place to lay your magnet, lay it flat and do not stack objects on top of it. You may stack magnets on each other, but never stack them with magnetic sides facing. This will decrease the magnets ability adhere to a metal surface.

  Caring for Your Magnet

When applying your magnet to a vehicle...
Suggestions are that you remove the magnet on a daily basis then clean and dry both the vehicle surface and the magnetic surface of the magnet. Common sense says that no one will do this.
If you wish to care for it properly, clean and dry both the vehicle surface and the magnetic surface of the magnet on a daily basis.
You should at least remove the magnet on a weekly basis and clean with a warm mild soap and water.

  Long Term Signs
Most long term signs are made of wood (covered by other materials), metal, Plexiglas or similar material. The best thing you can do is to make sure they stay clean. An occasional wash with a mild soap and water will do wonders to extend their life.
